Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc., and METAWATER Co., Ltd., Announce Merger under METAWATER USA
OCTOBER 28, 2015 – Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. (Loves Park, IL USA) and METAWATER Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan), formally announced to their employees and shareholders a merger agreement. The merger will place Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc., including its subsidiary, Mecana Umwelttechnik (Reichenburg, Switzerland) under METAWATER USA, INC., (hereinafter referred to as MUSA), the company’s U.S. subsidiary with current operations in Rutherford, NJ.
Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc., with its primary base in the United States, is an applied engineering company specializing in total water management solutions in the areas of aeration/mixing, biological processes, cloth media filtration, membranes and process control. The privately-owned company operates from its corporate headquarters in Loves Park, IL where it currently employs 125 talented individuals in Administration, Engineering and R&D, Sales and Marketing, Operations and Customer Service.
Since 1969, Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. has served the water and wastewater industry in both the municipal and industrial markets including drinking water, stormwater and reuse/recycle. It has built a strong and loyal customer base over the past four decades and continues to foster these relationships through a professional sales management team, dedicated customer service group and strong network of independent sales representatives.
Through this merger, MUSA will acquire additional Aqua-Aerobic Systems resources including additional established relationships with sales agents, consulting firms and contractors to support its growth strategy and strengthen its business through expansion into the U.S. and other markets. The collaboration provides Aqua-Aerobic Systems with a larger platform to expand internationally and enables Aqua-Aerobic Systems and the METAWATER Group to gain access to each company’s technologies that will enhance respective product offering portfolios.
